Dream Horizon

I looked into her eyes one more time,
And found a river that connects to an ocean,
From which it ends at the mouth of desire,
A moment to witness it at its event horizon.
-Dream Horizon

It's friday night and school break has started! Finally, the reprieve I've been hoping for has finally arrived. To celebrate in style, my Best Female Buddy, Yi Shyan joins me in a feast at the Plaza Market Cafe!(Also her birthday treat)

Intenerational cum Peranakan themed Buffet! :P

Here is a picture run through of the whole event!

This is the entrance of the plaza market cafe.

Here are some of the dishes which we bothered to photograph, haha after that I kind of lost patience and ate faster and faster...

I believe that eating a buffet should not be about the quantity and simply going for the most expensive dishes there. Sometimes, even the simplest foods can taste incredible, and to avoid them and simply eat the expensive foods would be a waste as you miss out on so much. A buffet is about sampling so many different dishes, and of course, your welcome to eat more of what you like, but most importantly, trying whatever the buffet has to offer rather than limiting yourself!

The food was not bad, especially some of the peranakan dishes, but if there was something that I have to rate as the best thing, which I believe is what highlights the entire buffet is the Durian Pudding! Made from durian and cream, one of the best deserts I've ever eaten. Dessert is lovely =P

Well thats it for today. Adieu!

She's not breathing back

Find that one last pill the one I threw away,
Don't you know I don't smile when I'm hurried?
Its about opening up your eyes,
Can't you see that she's not breathing back.

Aren't you the least bit worried?

Everytime I speak to her,
My heart is in a stormy flur,
I reach out to her,
And she grabs hold of my hand.

She's not breathing back.

I wrote this post halfway in school, and ended up watching a dance performance in the TRCC of Republic. Not bad, many schools and different forms of dance were shown during the perfomance. A total of 2 hours. Not bad, but quite tiring too. Thanks Victoria! I would not have known about it if you didn't drag me away from gym to keep you company till the show... Though I feel like I need a really good workout right now! =P

Today was a test day, and during meetings today, there was a security guard who found trouble with some of my classmates using a room opposite ours. One guy went to ask the security guard for her name, and then after that he came back. She came into the class with a black and fierce demeanor which I have to say was totally uncalled for, the way she asked for his ID was totally unfriendly and in opinion unprofessional.

I went outside class to help my classmate as I could see she was clearly trying to intimidate him. I do not like people intimidating others, and trying to prove their the better person. Seriously, is it really worth your time trying prove something? As I asked for her ID, she asked for mine in the same manner he asked my classmate, of which I went to take my ID and my notebook(The death note) to write down all her particulars. When I brought out the book with my pen and passed her my ID, she was visibly shaken by my book as I started to write down her particulars while asking how I should contact her superiors.

She in fact started rambling the numbers uneasily, giving me a total of 9 numbers... (She was so nervous when she saw that someone was ready to play hard ball with her) After that I thanked her and asked for the name of her supervisor, which further caused her to become more nervous. A short while after she left, her supervisor came, of which I remembered his name, as the guy opened the door and peered into the class, I called out his name and spoke to him outside the class. He was a nice guy, who was clearly apologetic over the whole situation, and told me that he would advise his guard to refrain from such a manner, of which I informed was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. He and I shook hands, and agreed over the whole matter, with my suggestion of putting her on different rotations that is not around our block to prevent further matter and also to advise her to change her manner.

Presentation was great. I got a little bored during break and decided to do a gif with the help of Wilson(Arowana) and Pamela(Pomelo) It seriously looks like some coke zero advert... Here it is, adieu to all! Enjoy! =)

Where the apple fell

This is the spot,
Where the apple fell,
And now I speak a name.

Read in between the lines.

I wonder how much you'd see,
A moment forgotten,
Forever lost.

Can you understand?

Imagine the choices we make,
Never having the chance to change,
Remembering where we stood still.

Read in between the lines.

Its a message few would ever see,
Which is a dance I dance tonight,
For I speak a name.

My hands bear the marks.

The color red shows it all,
Even when the skin tears,
I'll say a prayer for now.

I'll close my eyes for you.

Can you see the message,
Not a moment to miss,
Can you see where the apple fell?

Read inbetween the lines.

-Where the apple fell

Have you ever had vivid dreams where the moments seem so real? I guess when I dream, it sometimes feels like reality. And I wish it wasn't, so hard that I wake up, unable to rest anymore. Where the moments set, I spoke a name into the heat of the night, where few will I ever see or know. Can you read inbetween the lines? Only those who know me well, and understand the dance of words would.

Standing on this spot where I carved a spot of my own, I find that I now need to see where I should go. I've not been in such a predicament in a long while. Can I tell myself to do whats best for me?

Today I attended a friend's Wedding. Alan Ng! Congrads to him and his bride! The two of them will set off for Japan for 1 week tommorow!

Here's what happened...

Presenting the couple...

The tent where the dinner was held was really nice!

The starting was the solemnisation, I had just made in time in a cab. The place was at the legend Club at fort canning. The solemnisation was done with a military style entrance.

Here's the wedding cake!

Here is a video of the couple entering military style.

Here is a video for the interesting entrance of the first dish of the day!

Once again, Congrads to the couple! Adieu to all!

Back to where it began

The room feels so cold now,
I realize how much I treasure,
This soft jacket you gave me,
For the moment whats left is one last appeal.

Turning back the clock to that moment.

To relive that moment,
Not changing a single thing,
Wondering why I'm so happy,
To simply enjoy the moment.

This is something I can't pretend.
-Back to where it began

Sometimes in life, I wish I could go back and relive a moment, not changing a single thing, because I never regretted that moment, but rather to enjoy it. Can you imagine being able to relive the days you want?

Today was a fine day, school was normal, no class gif or pictures taken, there was a sombre mood after the hurricane that hit yesterday. The true effects should be felt in the later weeks to come. I do sort of dread it for the sake of the rest, things have consequences right guys?

After class was the DSLM back to school party! The old miso group(my orientation group, a fun bunch!) came back together, it had been such a long time since most of us met up. The turn out of the the party was rather poor, but it was so fun to meet up with the main group, in fact I think the largest group was miso!

There was even a beauty pagent where we were all randomly selected, the criteria was those who wore uniforms, but at the end of the day, we didn't have uniforms and the winner for miss DSLM was none other than our dear Izzah! Congrads! Miss DSLM huh, next to be miss SHL>? First, DSLM, then maybe SHL, then maybe RP? We'll see huh? Remember, its about personality! Not just looks! =D

There was entertainment too! Thanks social dance and capoera, I have a video for both . But it just takes forever to load these vids. The Dance was interesting, but the capoera was kind of boring to me.(Sorry guys, but that's the truth!) As for the food and drinks, the spread was so so, having deep fried breaded calamari(The best dish in my opinion) Bee hoon, satay, mini pizzas, satay and some cream puffs(not bad too)

Here's a pic of social dance!

And to finish off today's post! A pic of Wilsona and our cross dressing host of the evening! Adieu to all!

Hurricane Zeus

The choices you make,
When you are young,
Its difficult to make the choice,
When the wind blows hard.

The hurricane Zeus.
-Hurricane Zeus

Class had a total of 9 students today after the first meeting. I felt dissapointed when I saw so many class mates go. I've already said my peace, you know what I think of the actions taken.

Going on, lets not talk about the darker side of the day... Lets look at what went out with this tiny class of 9! 2 Groups of 5 and 4. All of my original core group stayed and we had one additional member for the day, Wan Xin! Guess this week we work twice huh? I hope that doesn't make you sick of mr kwan :P

I thank my members for all staying, and I congratulate all for the work we did today. Excellent job, and you all deserve an A. Going on, the facilitator changed his style of approach to a less PBL style and sort of tutored us in how we should think and focus on the problem statement of the day. It was something refreshing, a new style of learning which allowed us to learn even more by looking at our weaknesses that we previously did not know.

For the lunch of the day, the 9 of us had oishi pizza! We had wasabi pizza and kimichi pizza with side orders of tempura. Talk about a class party! Mahjong and pizza!

Going on to the other fun part... We did a gif at the end of the day, where the faci himself got involved. Firstly, here's a few photos of the 9 who stayed on.

After school, met up with Yi Shyan and we went to the gym with wilson. Ran round the school four times, taking turns to run with Wilson and Yi Shyan. Pity that I forgot to take photos. I guess I will a little tired to take photos! Tommorow is SHL DSLM back to school party! Can't wait! Thats it for today, tommorow's a brand new day. The Hurricane Zues has come to pass.
And now for the gifs! Adieu!

HOLY ARIWANA DRAGON CAKE!

Dipping our feet in the water below,
Laughing our heads off,
As the wind blows our hair back,
We're here to have fun.

We're no saints.

Choosing to live our life as it is,
Breaking apart the rules of life,
And making our own,
So lets be our own maker.

Come on lets play this game one more time.
-Our rules

Today was Wilson's(Ariwana) birthday. Happy birthday to you dude. We celebrated Shi Jie's(Lola Grand) belated birthday which was earlier in the month.

The day started off slow, here we were just doing math, and Siew Kwan(Kimo) got a message from misses Ezal about the suprise party. She brought a really tasty chocolate cake, and party noise makers which some of our w15R residential jokers were more than happy to use.

Here's the tiny yummy chocolate cake from polar! Thanks misses Ezal! Here's the "couple" Cutting their birthday cake too!

Presenting W15R for the first time! The first photo is a impromptu shot to practice, the next one is of the whole class in a normal pose, then the third one has Wilson's face smashed with chocolate cake(courtesy of one half of the broke back pair, Yao the ming Rong)

Alright, thats almost it for today's post! I leave you all now with a gif of Kwan, Ariwana,Lola and Kimo! Ariwana must have gotten on my nerves today... adieu to all!
