Ah... Kwan has finally finished being the joker. This should be the last time I dawn the suit and wear the tie and paint my warpaint to become to joker. The spoof is done... Haloscream is over... Halloween is over... Wow, what a month... And I became the joker 4 times in one month. The first was to test how I'd look by myself...

The second was to do the spoof with Jerald.

The third was for haloscream.

The final was for Halloween at Zouk...Voodoo.

They say that Halloween's the Ang moh's 7th month. I guess its quite true, but if you think about it, aren't we as "non Ang mohs" also being part of it? Why? Because its fun! You get to do things you normally don't do without fear of ridicule because its supposed to be ridiculous.

If I had to put a finger on what I enjoyed most about halloween this year... It was being the joker, just being in character and starting at someone randomly then smiling and scaring the hell out of them, and just saying.... Hi... my name is joker... Tell me your name...

Back to halloween!

The joker's girl: Marie antonette


















The joker was accompanied by A marie anotonette(May)... A geisha(Zoey)... A french maid(Dhel) and a devil (Jodie)...

I didn't have a camera with me, so most of the photos were taken by Dhel and Zoey, so I've got to wait for their pictures. For now, here are some appetizers!

We had to go in two cabs, so here is me doing a quick check in the cab!















Behind me was the Marie antonette and the devil! (Some history buffs might laugh...)














Here is a picture of the french maid when I actually remembered to take a photo... when people weren't pulling me apart to take photos with me! Its amazing how the joker costume attracts people... They all love to take photos... Always makes me feel like I'm working in disneyland! :D

Breathe in deep

Heaven's flavours in our mouths,
The drizzle of divinity,

Well... well... well... Kwan hasn't cooked a real good home dinner in a while! And he did on tuesday! Thanks to Jols who bought the pasta, rocket and tomatos.

Lets see the ingredients shall we?



The pasta is hand maded sesame seed papardelle and black truffle tagliatelle.

We have organic cherry tomato.
We have fresh rosemary from my herb garden.
We have basil from my herb garden.
We have Rocket
And.... We have angus steak! =)



First I sauteed the rocket with garlic, olive oil and sugar...













Then I boiled the pasta...













This is one of the best way to test if pasta is ready...(kidding)



















Then Jols and I took turns to cook the pasta...
































And here I was starving....dying to eat... and jols insisted on taking photos... practicing patience huh Jols?

The beef... It was drizzled with my favourite compliment... Truffle oil.

This coming friday will be Halloween! friday fright night! I'm going with a Marie antonette, Geisha, French maid and a few more others who've yet to confirm for Zouk's Voodoo! Last friday marked the start of my 1 week school break. So I went with a couple of my friends to go costume shopping at Masquerade and after dinner at soup spoon we ended up in Haji lane...having drinks and playing games and doing forfeits!

Let me introduce to you the group that went! From the right, its me followed by Jerald then Daryl, Rachel,May and Dhel!

And now! For the forfeits... We played indian poker... Charades... and...some game called tongkat...tukituki.

Aside from the forfeits... we guys were cool and our charading was fun!

In this charade, Daryl was a sexist... so I pretended to be the girl who was being chauvanised!



















In this charade, it was about luggage, so we decided to make it fun by carrying Jerald around like a bag...

































In this charade... we were charading the word Operation... Daryl and Jerald were operating on me and I pretended to wake up halfway to become shocked by the whole sight of it.














And so that was how we started our holidays... Thats it for now... Adieu to all!

Let me to talk about a little adventure we had with our classmates one of the days...

The ELEVATOR ADVENTURE

Chris, introduced to us the fun of pulling open lift doors by pulling both sides with your hands while the lift is inbetween floors, causing the doors to open and the lift to stop and bounce... That day... We did it one too many times and ended up stalling the lift!

The whole ordeal was ended quickly when Chris discovered that there is a lever to pull to open the door... It was fun 5mins haha.
